The Big East Tournament 2022 descends upon New York City’s Mecca of basketball, Madison Square Garden, bringing the potential for more March magic. In past years, fans have been dazzled by the likes of Kemba Walker, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, and Patrick Ewing. The tourney gives a chance for several teams to tune up ahead of the Big Dance and the winning team gets an automatic bid for this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Big East Tournament 2022 TV schedule
This year’s Big East tournament will begin on Wednesday, March 9th with four games on the TV schedule. It all starts at 4:30 p.m. ET as No. 8 seed Xavier faces No. 9 seed Butler. That’s followed by a 7 p.m. ET game with No. 7 St. Johns vs. No. 10 DePaul. The day’s action closes at 9:30 p.m. ET as No. 6 Seton Hall goes against No. 11 Georgetown.
- Game 1, 4:30 p.m.: No. 8 Xavier vs. No. 9 Butler
- Game 2, 7 p.m.: No. 7 St. Johns vs. No. 10 DePaul
- Game 3, 9:30 p.m.: No. 6 Seton Hall vs. No. 11 Georgetown
More action arrives Thursday, as the top seeds will get their spotlight. No. 1 Providence will take on the winner of the Xavier vs. Butler game at noon. At 2:30 p.m. ET, No. 5 Marquette plays No. 4 Creighton. The No. 2 seed Villanova faces the winner of St. Johns and DePaul at 7 p.m. ET, while No. 3 seed UCONN gets the primetime spot. They’ll play the winner of No. 6 Seton Hall vs. No. 11 Georgetown at 9:30 p.m. ET.
- Game 4, noon: Game 1 winner vs. No. 1 Providence
- Game 5, 2:30 p.m.: No. 5 Marquette vs. No. 4 Creighton
- Game 6, 7 p.m.: Game 2 winner vs. No. 2 Villanova
- Game 7, 9:30 p.m.: Game 3 winner vs. No. 3 UConn
Friday brings the Big East tourney’s semifinals games at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The championship game is set for Saturday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Tournament odds, Big East Big Dance teams
As of this writing, it’s predicted by Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology that seven teams from the Big East will get into this year’s NCAA Tournament. Villanova, Connecticut, Creighton, Seton Hall, Marquette, Xavier, and Providence will all be in the men’s tournament. An eighth team could join them by winning the Big East tournament.
