It’s March Madness 2024 time! After all of the conference champions were decided over the past 10 days, we are now ready to get down to business.

Teams in college basketball have improved so much over the past decade that just assuming a No. 3 seed will dominate a No. 14 is long gone. Upset City is the name of this tourney!

So which teams have been tabbed the best in their region? Here they are.

The defending champion UCONN Huskies are the No. 1 seed in the East. They are also listed as the No. 1 team overall in the field of 68.

The three other No. 1 seeds include the Houston Cougars (South) Purdue Boilermakers (Midwest) and North Carolina Tar Heels (West). According to CBS Sports, the numbers of the top four seeds reveal that the Midwest region is the most difficult, while the South is the least.

Odds to win the NCAA Tournament

The Connecticut Huskies are favored to repeat as champions at +425. This team is stacked. If you believe in the Huskies you better get on them now! The odds will only drop like a rock if they advance to the Sweet 16.

Right behind UCONN is Houston at +500 followed by Purdue (+600) UNC (+1400) and rounding out the top five favorites is Tennesse at +1500.
