March Madness 2025 is upon us! I love this time of year. MLB is right around the corner, the NHL and NBA are gearing up for the postseason and all this week begins wall-to-wall college basketball as 68 teams begin their quest to win this year’s Men’s Basketball National Championship!
We have been on a roll this past week in college hoops. Check out some of our picks here.
So which team will win this year’s March Madness Tourney? The truth is no one knows! Why do you think big corporations will give you $1 million if you pick a perfect bracket? Sometimes the biggest favorites don’t even make the round of 16.
The favorites, Auburn, Florida, and Duke look strong. However, with odds of 4/1 at best, we are looking for a more bang for your buck type of selection! Three teams pique my curiosity a bit more. Why? They are loaded with talent and the odds a big!

First up are the Michigan State State Spartans. HC Tom Izzo knows how to win. Izzo is a Sweet 16 machine. While he only has one title to his credit, He is the winningest HC in Big Ten history. At +2200, you had better jump on the Sparty wagon before the first game tips. Those odds will fall after their round-one victory.
Next up is St. John’s. Watch out for this team! If they are clicking on all cylinders, they are also a Sweet 16-bound team. Just like the Spartans, St. John’s is a hefty +2200.
Finally don’t overlook the defending champs. The UCONN Huskies are quietly being overlooked by many, but not us. At +5000, they are worth a sprinkle.
