Michigan HS Basketball Player Misdials Text – Ends Up FaceTiming With Buccaneers Tom Brady, Sean Murphy-Bunting
Have you ever misdialed a phone number or sent a text to the wrong number? We all have, right? Well, when one Michigan high schooler was sending text messages to his teammates in an attempt to organize team practices he got the surprise of a lifetime.
His mistake led to conversations with several players on the world champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers – including Tom Brady!
According to a FOX News report, Vinny Tartaglia, a member of the Notre Dame Prep freshman basketball team, was adding his teammates’ numbers to a group text last week when he accidentally added the wrong number. What he didn’t realize was that the number was Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting’s.
Murphy-Bunting is from Michigan, so the one-off digit mistake that led to the former Chippewa Valley High School star turned out to be one of the coolest misdials ever for these youngsters.
Instead of ignoring the text, Murphy-Bunting responded and explained who he was. At first, of course, the players on the basketball team didn’t believe him. That was until he decided to FaceTime them.
When Murphy-Bunting connected not only did he wish the team luck, he also got other players to chime in including Leonard Fournette, Rob Gronkowski, Mike Evans, Richard Sherman, and Tom Brady. How cool is that!
After Fournette stayed on FaceTime chatting for a good 10 minutes he passed the phone to Tom Brady which made the HS students think that this whole thing was some sort of dream!
What a great move by Sean Murphy-Bunting and all of the Buccaneers to turn a mistake into a great memory for a local basketball team.
