NFL Black Monday 2020: Which Coaches Are On The Hot Seat? LIVE Updates
NFL Black Monday 2020 is coming. With several playoff scenarios still in play, Week 17 is going to be must-see NFL action. However, the completion of Week 17 will also bring several head coaching changes.
NFL Black Monday – who’s on the hot seat?
With three teams – Detroit, Atlanta, and Houston – already in need of a new coach in 2021, here are a few teams that may be joining that list.
1. Adam Gase, New York Jets — A no-doubter? It seems that way. NFL.com is reporting “The Jets are expected to part ways with coach Adam Gase after Sunday’s finale against the Patriots, per sources, kicking off a search that the entire NFL world has believed was inevitable.”
2. Doug Marrone, Jacksonville Jaguars — Marrone is 12-35 in the past three seasons. The Jags won the Trevor Lawrence lottery, but if they select him No. 1, who will coach him?
3. Anthony Lynn, Los Angeles Chargers — He may deserve one more year, but it’s looking unlikely.
Others to keep an eye on are Zac Taylor (Cincinnati Bengals), Doug Pederson (Philadelphia Eagles), and Minnesota’s Mike Zimmer.
Be sure to check back here on Monday, Jan. 3 for live coaching updates as they happen. News of any rumors or firings will be posted in the comments section below.
