NFL Wild Card Playoffs 2024: Odds, Schedule, And Best Bets For Round 1 – Updated Super Bowl Odds

We are just 24 hours away from the NFL Wild Card Playoffs! The 2024 version of round one will get underway in Houston, Texas when the Texans host the Cleveland Browns from NRG Stadium.

Now if you are going to tell me you knew back in August that the Texans, behind a rookie quarterback, would win their division and host a playoff game I would have to call your bluff. However, that is the beauty of sports. Winners are determined on the field not on paper or by Vegas experts. Once that ball is snapped you never know what will happen.

Super Bowl Odds Updated

If you are wondering who Vegas odds makers believe will win this weekend’s games, you may want to look at the latest Super Bowl odds. While the Lions and Browns are just small favorites to win this week, gamblers will most likely have their money on them – and for good reason.

Detroit is currently listed at +2200 at Fan Duel Sportsbook, while their opponent this week, the LA Rams is set at +5000. That is a huge difference. The same can be said for the Browns. Cleveland is set at +3000 while the Texans are a whopping +7000.

Now that doesn’t guarantee a win by Cleveland and Detroit this week, however, it does show which way Vegas is leaning. Below is a look at the current odds for all 14 teams entering the 2024 NFL Playoffs.

NFL Wild Card Schedule, Game Odds, Best Bets

Okay, let’s get to it! Here is a look at the complete NFL Wild Card Playoffs schedule, current game odds and picks for each game.

Saturday

Cleveland Browns (-2) at Houston Texas – 4:30 p.m. ET NBC – This is a tough one. I love CJ Stroud, but it is hard to bet against that Browns defense. It’s a coin flip, but in the end, I have to take the experience of Browns QB Joe Flacco and that tough Cleveland D. Pick – Cleveland -2

Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) – 8:15 p.m. ET – Everyone says “what is wrong with Kansas City?” Yet the Chiefs won 11 games and captured their eigth straight AFC West title. Yes, they have looked a bit off this season, but I can not bet against Patrick Mahomes at home. Period. Pick – Chiefs -3.5

Sunday

Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills (-10.5) – 1 p.m. ET CBS – I don’t have faith in Buffalo. I haven’t since Week 1, as I mentioned here. Mike Tomlin will not let his team get run. Pitt may not win, but I’m on the dog here. Pick – Steelers +10.5

Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys (-7.5) – 4:30 p.m. ET FOX — ANother crazy game that we may know the winner after the first half. Will the Cowboys start fast and continue their home-field domination? Or will they stumble and let Jordan Love and the Packers hang around? I’m not huge on this game but since I have to pick, I’ll take The Boys at home. Pick – Dallas -7.5

Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions (-3) – 8:15 p.m. ET NBC — The Godfather of the weekend! Many experts are loving the Rams – not us! All the offensive weapons that QB Jared Goff has at his disposal will guide Detroit to a double-digit win. A strong dose of Gibbs and Montgomery will open up the passing game – and Jared Goff gives his old coach a wink as he sends the Rams home for the season. Pick – Lions -3

Monday

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 8 p.m. ET – Normally I would say this is the Eagles in a breeze. However, now I am not so sure. Philly is playing awful and Tampa, like Pittsburgh and Houston, have nothing to lose. The Bucs in an upset? Yes sir! Pick – Tampa Bay +3
