Ohio State vs. Michigan Prediction: Odds, Start Time, How To Watch Live
Ohio State vs. Michigan. It’s the game – as in “THE GAME.” If you don’t know that, then you probably aren’t from the state of Michigan or Ohio, or you haven’t followed Big Ten football. Either way, for the first time in over a decade, “the game” has huge meaning. Not only is a trip to the Big Ten championship game on the line, so is a possible shot at a National Championship as well.
Ohio State vs. Michigan – A tale of dominating streaks
For decades Michigan dominated this series. In fact, if you go back to the very beginning in 1897, the Wolverines won so often that there was no real “rivalry.”
The first 15 times these two met, Michigan won 13 games, lost none, and tied twice. Michigan also dominated the 1980s and 1990s by winning 14 of the 21 matchups. In 2021, that means nothing. In a “what have you done for me lately”sports world, Michigan has nothing to hang its hat on over the past decade.
In fact, since the 2000 season, Ohio State has only lost to Michigan twice. That was way back in 2003 and 2011. Yes, the once dominating Wolverines have now been dominated by the boys from Columbus. However, this year will be a different story.
While OSU has won 8 straight and 14 of 15 in this series, in many of those contests Michigan was a bad team. As in really bad. This year there is a different feel in Ann Arbor and we think the last thing you will see Saturday afternoon is Ohio State jumping out to a quick and dominating lead.
If Michigan can control the run game, as they have all season, this game should come down to who has the ball last.
Odds, TV time and pick
While Ohio State is 6-2 against the spread (ATS) in its last eight games, the Wolverines are 5-1 ATS in its last six home games. None of which they have been the underdog.
With the spread currently sitting at 8.5 as of this report, we are loving a solid home dog.
Can Michigan finally beat Ohio State under head coach Jim Harbaugh and make a CFP appearance? That is what Wolverines fans are hoping for. As a man gambling on the game, we are wagering that the Maize and Blue will play a heck of a game and we are grabbing those 8.5 points!
Pick – Michigan +8.5
Fans can catch every moment of the big game starting at 12 noon ET live on FOX. The game will also stream live through the FOX Sports Go app.
