Two For Tuesday: March Madness, NIT Picks Wyoming vs Indiana, Belmont vs Vanderbilt
Two for Tuesday has returned and in honor of all of the college hoops ahead of us we are focusing on the hardwood. With both the NCAA March Madness and NIT kicking off this evening, we are diving right into the action!
NIT – Belmont vs Vanderbilt
The first NIT game of 2022 will take place from Nashville, Tennessee when the Belmont Bruins take on the Vanderbilt Commodores. While Vanderbilt will be hosting the game, Belmont won’t have far to travel to get there. The Bruins will only have to drive one mile to square off against Vandy.
Vanderbilt has played much better this season than they did a year ago. The Commodores won just nine games in 2021. This season, Vandy finished 15-15 and are playing much better under second-year coach Jerry Stackhouse.
Stackhouse was hired at the end of the 2019 season. These two teams don’t have a long history vs one another. The last time they met was in 2017. In that game, the Bruins beat Vanderbilt 69-60.
This time around, the Commodores get a bit of revenge. We are on Stackhouse’s Commodores tonight.

NCAA Wyoming vs Indiana
This is a very interesting matchup.
Wyoming (25-8) finished fourth in the Mountain West Conference and are coming off a 68-61 loss to Boise State in the MWC tournament semifinals. Indiana played well in the Big Ten Tournament beating Michigan and No. 1 seeded Illinois before falling in a thriller to 80-77 to Iowa in the semifinals.
This is cliche, but we are going with it. The edge in this game in our opinion is going to Indiana just to strength of schedule. It’s a 12 vs 12 matchup, so we aren’t overthinking this.
