Serving as two of the most important final prep races on the road to the Kentucky Derby, each race offers a lucrative 100-50-25-15-10 points structure, meaning the winners will all but punch their ticket to Churchill Downs.

Florida Derby Preview

The 2026 Florida Derby live coverage starts at 6:00 PM ET and will air on Peacock and NBCSN. The Kentucky Derby prep race, which takes place at Gulfstream Park, can also be viewed on FanDuel TV. The main race post time is scheduled for approximately 6:42 PM ET.

Chief Wallabee, Commandment, and Nearly, lead a field of nine horses that all have a great pedigree. While these three horses are all listed at the top of the morning line favorites, keep an eye on Redland Rebels. With jockey Joel Rosario, this horse has a great shot to finish in the money – and at 15/1, its worth a buck or two.

Arkansas Derby Preview

Oaklawn Park will once again host one of the biggest races of the year – The Arkansas Derby.

All eyes are on Renegade (3/2), the clear favorite with strong connections and elite form. If he fires his best shot, the rest may be running for second.

That said, Silent Tactic (5/2) and Litmus Test (5/1) both have the upside to make things interesting, especially if pace dynamics shift late.
