NCAA Final Four 2022: Schedule, TV Start Times, and Updated Championship Odds
The NCAA Final Four 2022 has finally arrived after several weeks of intense games and Cinderella stories! However, now that the dust has settled, four contenders are left vying for the college basketball championship in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Those four teams have a combined 17 championships among them, giving fans the potential for some classic games. We’ve got the full details on the Final Four matchups and TV schedule for both games along with the latest championship odds!
Wildcats, Jayhawks, Tar Heels & Blue Devils vying for title
Weeks ago, the NCAA Tournament favorites included the Gonzaga Bulldogs and Kentucky Wildcats at the top. However, both teams were upset at various stages of the Big Dance. St. Peter’s had a magical run as this year’s Cinderellas, but the No. 15 seed fell to North Carolina in the 2022 Elite Eight.
The big story heading into Final Four weekend continues to be the farewell tour for Duke Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski. He’s coached his team to five championships and is looking to go out with that storybook ending by capturing his sixth. He’s got the talent on his team to do it, except standing in his way is that familiar foe.
The Tar Heels are the highest seed and biggest underdog left in the tournament. They’re also underdogs against Duke at +4 points and +170 on the money line. Duke smashed UNC by 20 points back in February. However, the 28-9 Tar Heels defeated the Blue Devils on their homeport, 94-81 on Senior Night at Duke’s home venue, on March 5.
In the earlier matchup, fans should get a treat featuring the 30-7 Wildcats battling the 32-6 Jayhawks. The Jayhawks are currently favored by 4.5 points to win, with a -200 moneyline price. The Wildcats are +4.5 underdogs with a +170 value for interested bettors. The over/under total on this one was at 132.5 points for the complete game.
Unfortunately for Villanova, they lost junior guard Justin Moore to a right torn Achilles injury he suffered against Houston. That leaves Nova down a man as they try to return to the championship game.
