King of the Diamond Winner Revealed for DraftKings June 27 Promo

A popular promotion returned again at DraftKings, and one baseball team emerged as the King of the Diamond winner, rewarding bettors who happened to have the right picks.

June 27 was a high-scoring day overall in baseball, but no team outdid the Baltimore Orioles. Others that scored in bunches included the Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Philadelphia Phillies, but they couldn’t match Baltimore’s output on offense.

Sometimes more than one team win these DraftKings promos, but on Friday, ther King of the Diamond winner was clear. The Orioles belted out a total of 22 runs at home to defeat the visiting Tampa Bay Rays.

King of the Diamond winner had four homerun hitters

Four home run hitters emerged for the Orioles in the game. Gary Sanchez was +800 in DK’s sportsbook odds to go yard earlier, and started the homerun party early. Later, Gunnar Henderson, Jackson Holliday, and Coby Mayo added to the total.

For Mayo, it was his first MLB homerun. These players and other teammates helped Baltimore record a 22-8 victory. We won’t call them MLB World Series contenders, but more performances like these could push Baltimore higher in the standings.

With Friday’s DraftKings King of the Diamond promotion, bettors needed to place at least a two-leg parlay with two homerun hitters, or parlay five homerun hitters from various teams to maximize their chances. The objective is to have a bet on a player who hits a home run for the team that scores the most runs for that day’s games.

The bet doesn’t necessarily have to win if it’s a parlay. As long as it has a player in it that hit a homerun for the highest scoring team of the day’s games, it’s a King of the Diamond winner.

KOTD promo arrived with DK’s No Sweat HR Promo

Bettors with a home run hitter on that high-scoring team, the Orioles, win a share of the $1 million overall prize pool for this contest as a free bet. The free bet amount depends on how many other players hit home runs for the team(s) with the most runs, and how many bettors wagered on them for KOTD.

With Friday’s KOTD promo, bettors had to put a specific minimum on the bet to qualify and apply the promo before locking in the bet. The minimum bet amount for the King of the Diamond is often $5 with a maximum of $10.

It’s also worth noting that KOTD occurred on the same day that many bettors also received the popular No Sweat Homerun promotion at DraftKings. Between the two, bettors could really maximize their shot at winning some money and free bets.

As seen above, bettors were rewarded nicely for the 22-run outburst the Orioles displayed on Friday, June 27. Congratulations to all individuals who had one of the team’s four homerun hitters!
