NFL opt-out tracker: Lions Geronimo Allison Joins Growing List Of Players Who Will Sit Out In 2020

With COVID-19 changing the way we all live our day-to-day lives, the NFL is no exception to the virus. The NFL is by far the most-watched sport out of the four major sports in the US.

This season, if there is a season, fans will need to double and triple-check their fantasy draft sheets as the number of players opting out ahead of Week 1 is growing.

With a growing number of players opting out of the season already, it will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Geronimo Allison latest to opt out

The Detroit Lions have a nice looking offense on paper heading into the 2020 season. However, they may have already lost a key offseason addition before he has even suited up in the Honolulu Blue and Silver.

NFL guru Adam Schefter tweeted out on Sunday that Geronimo Allison is opting to sit out the 2020 season.

The Lions were hoping Allison would be a great compliment to the WR core in Detroit this fall.

Giants’ WR Da'Mari Scott informed the team he will opt out of the 2020 season. Scott is the second Giant to opt out, joining OT Nate Solder.

The Giants also lost their second player to the COVID-19 opt out when WR Da’Mari Scott informed the team he will forego the 2020 season.

Scott joins OT Nate Solder on the list of Giants who will not suit up in 2020.
