NFL To Reopen Team Facilities On May 19 – Here Are The New Guidelines And Rules
Okay, folks, don’t get too excited but it looks like the NFL will start taking baby steps to make sure everything is safe so they can stay on track to start the 2020 NFL season on time!
COVID-19 has put a stop to all sports in the US. While MLB fans wait with bated breath to find out if the 2020 season will begin in July, the NFL is hoping that the steps they are taking here in May lead to a successful and safe season this fall.
While all team facilities have been closed for over six weeks now, Commissioner Roger Goodell has now outlined a plan to have teams get the all-clear to go back to their regular routines as soon as May 19.
While Tuesday, May 19 is the first day teams can get back to business, they will have to take some very important steps first.
In order to come under consideration to open, each team must be permitted access from its current state and local regulations. The club also must be in compliance with any public health requirements within its jurisdiction.
Even if it takes a few extra days or weeks to get back to business, it is nice to hear that steps have been taken and a plan is in motion to make sure the NFL will play this season!
