Super Bowl 59 will have a very familiar look to it when the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles battle for NFL supremacy. These two teams squared off just two seasons ago in Super Bowl 57 – a game the Chiefs won 38-35 on a last-second field goal as time expired.
Will history repeat itself, or will the Eagles walk away with the win and their second NFL championship in franchise history? We think we know the answer to that question!
Mahomes, Mahomes, Mahomes
Let’s not mince words. ANY team that makes it to the Super Bowl is great. Some fans will argue that it was luck, but it’s not. The season is long and tough. Sure a break or two may have come along the way for a squad, and you can even argue that the “better team” sometimes loses in the postseason.
And your argument would be valid.
But in the case of the Kansas City Chiefs, you are witnessing history in the making. There are a lot of great quarterbacks in the NFL, but no one is better than Patrick Mahomes.
In his career so far Mahomes has led the Chiefs to the AFC Championship game seven years in a row. He has been the Chiefs starter for seven years. That is insane.
Anyone remember Jan. 30, 2022? Cincy fans sure do. That’s when the Bengals beat the Chiefs in the AFC title game – and everyone announced that Joe Burrow and the Bengals are the new team to beat in the AFC. Mahomes and the Chiefs’ run was ruled officially over by many NFL experts.
Since that loss, the Chiefs have won the most games in the NFL along with winning three consecutive AFC titles. And oh, by the way, they’re going for their third straight Super Bowl win this Sunday.
It’s tough to bet against that.
Super Bowl winning streak on the line – for us!
When it comes to Super Bowl predictions, we are looking to make it a perfect Pick-6!
We have predicted every Super Bowl correctly since Super Bowl 54, and are riding a streak of 10 out of 12 ATS picks in the big game. We have listed our last four picks below.
One player I feel will play a key role in Super Bowl 59 is WR Xavier Worthy. He is a flat-out game-changer. Worthy can hurt a defense catching and running the ball. If the Eagles win Super Bowl 59, they will have to keep one eye on Worthy at all times.
While his stats don’t jump off the paper, Worthy had almost 700 yards receiving, 6 touchdowns, and a better than 10-yard average. when he caught the ball in 2024. And the dude can fly in the open field.
Besides Worthy, the offense in KC is once again stacked for Mahomes. Isiah Pacheco, Kareem Hunt, and Travis Kelsey always are a top priority for any defense. But keep these two names in mind — JuJu Smith-Schuster and Hollywood Brown. Especially Brown.
Hollywood Brown was injured in the fall and only has recently returned to action. Adding Brown back to the mix in December is like giving Mahomes a brand-new weapon in the arsenal.
Super Bowl Prediction
This year we are once again riding the hot horse! The Eagles are a great team, however, I feel they had the easier path. They faced a weak Packers squad, tried their best to blow the Rams game, and beat a Washington team that is still several players away from being considered an every-year contender.
I do think Philly can win if they force a few turnovers, however, I refuse to bet against Patrick Mahomes, period. Especially when the spread is just 1.5. I refuse to wager against Andy Ried and Patrick Mahomes.
