Tom Brady Returns to Bucs: Super Bowl 2023 Odds & TB12 Prop Bets
After 11 days away from his NFL team, Tom Brady made his return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 45-year-old future Hall of Famer showed up for his team’s practice on Monday following all sorts of speculation. That included rumors of a divorce or that he might be a surprise participant in The Masked Singer’s TV show. However, Pro Football Talk indicated Brady was in the Bahamas at a luxury resort “primarily for family time with his wife, Gisele Bündchen.”
Tom Brady looks sharp in return practice
Based on a report from Tampa Bay Times, Tom Brady took the field “just a few minutes before 1 p.m.” on Monday and looked sharp in his return after that 11-day hiatus. Reportedly, Brady didn’t miss any of his targets and there were “only a few drops” in his first practice this preseason. Other aspects of the team’s flow apparently looked better, including offensive linemen blocking better and receivers running better routes.
“Wherever Tom was, he was working out still and getting good reps in. Yeah, if anyone can get away with the 11-day break during training camp, it’s Tom. He came back kind of firing on all cylinders (Monday). Yeah, we’re all excited he’s back and ready to move on,” Brate said.
Based on the Tampa Bay Times report, Brady didn’t speak with the media on Monday. As of right now, it’s still unclear why he was absent from the team beyond Pro Football Talk’s recent report suggesting a Bahamas trip for Gisele.
The Bucs were without Brady for their two preseason games, both resulting in losses. That included a 13-3 loss at Tennessee and a 26-24 home loss to the Dolphins. They’ll finish up the preseason schedule with an away game against the Colts on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Their regular season opens on September 11 with a Sunday Night Football matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. Game time is 8:20 p.m. Eastern Time on NBC.
Bucs coach Todd Bowles said the team was “happy to have [Brady] back, especially after the injury bug recently hit them.
“He’s very familiar with the offense,” Bowles said, adding, “So, him coming back in and getting back to work, it’s kind of normal. Just getting used to the heat and getting used to the guys, but he ran the offense well.”
