Two For Tuesday: NBA Picks For Nets vs. Pistons, Celtics vs. Jazz
Super Bowl 55 is now in the rear-view mirror. That means March Madness, the NHL and NBA playoffs, and spring training are right around the corner. Each week (mainly on Tuesday) our team will bring you what we call “Two for Tuesday” featuring our best two ATS picks of the day. Let’s get to it!
NBA Picks – Tuesday, Feb. 9
Nets (-7.5, O/U 231) at Pistons
The Pistons are playing much better than their record indicates. When Detroit is a 9-point underdog or greater they boast a 4-1 mark ATS. Those wins include victories over the Milwaukee Bucks, Utah Jazz, and LA Lakers.
On the other hand, the Brooklyn Nets are 4-12 ATS when favored by more than 4.5 points. That is not good. While this spread opened at 9, it has already been bet down to 7.5.
Nevertheless, this spread seems inflated, especially with the Nets missing Kevin Durant. Durant will miss Tuesday’s contest due to the “health and safety protocols” of the NBA’s COVID rules.
We love the Pistons +7.5. Maybe even a small moneyline play on Detroit +260 as well!
Pick: Pistons +7.5
Boston Celtics vs. Utah Jazz (-4.5, 220.5)
Can anyone stop the Utah Jazz? Utah has been a cash cow for gamblers over the past month. The Jazz owns a league-best 14-2 ATS record since Jan. 8.
Boston, which is currently 2-2 on their five-game road trip will have their hands full this evening in Utah. The Jazz boasts a 10-2 mark at home and is currently 9-1 in their last 10 games. They also are riding a 4-game winning streak.
The Celtics may hang around in the first half, however in the end Utah should pull away and earn the win.
Pick: Jazz -5
