World Series Odds 2022: Yankees, Dodgers Lead Way Heading Into Spring Training
The updated odds to win the 2022 World Series have been revealed. While MLB is still on strike, Las Vegas sportsbooks are still prepping for another big season.
World Series Odds 2022 have Yankees, Dodgers on top
The Atlanta Braves are the defending World Series champs, however, Vegas oddsmakers have them tied for eighth overall with the Brewers and Rays in terms of repeating as champs.
Leading the way as the overall favorite to capture the 2022 crown are the Los Angeles Dodgers at +650. Yes, LA will once again be stacked in 2022 and it seems Vegas believes that they are the team to beat. The New York Yankees are listed second overall at +900, followed by the Houston Astros (+950), New York Mets (+1000), and rounding out the top five favorites are the Toronto Blue Jays at +1200.
While the Bombers are the AL favorites to reach the World Series, they will be playing in arguably the toughest division in baseball. The AL East looks to be stacked in 2022. Tampa is always tough and the Toronto Blue Jays believe they have what it takes to finally break through and capture the division crown. Then of course you have the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry and there you go. One tough division.
Don’t sell the Orioles short either. Yes, they will probably finish in last place but they always play hard-nosed baseball.
Odds for each team
As of this report, it is a bit harder to get a grasp of the upcoming season due to the strike in terms of future wagers on selecting a World Series winner or two. With tons of free agents still on the market, hopefully, the players and owners will hash out a deal soon and end this strike!
