becky lynch vs liv morgan match on wwe raw 2021

WWE Day 1 Match Odds: Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch, Lesnar vs. Reigns, and More

New Year’s Day will bring the first-time pay-per-view for sports entertainment fans, in the form of WWE’s Day 1 event. With WWE moving their pay-per-view events to Saturdays, that makes Day 1 fitting for New Year’s Day 2022. It’ll be one of two PPV events for the month, as it could also set things in motion for the Royal Rumble. We’ve got a look at the latest WWE Day 1 match odds for the upcoming card, including anticipated bouts between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns as well as Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch.

WWE Day 1 match odds: Will Liv Morgan defeat Becky Lynch?

Multiple championships will be contested at WWE Day 1, including Becky Lynch putting her RAW Women’s Championship on the line. Liv Morgan will take on Becky, and she’s heading into this one as the underdog. Fans have been rooting for Liv to finally capture a main roster title outside of her previous Women’s Tag Team title match.

Based on BETOnline’s odds, Liv is a +200 underdog at the moment, meaning fans who put $100 on Liv would win $200 if she were to win the match. Meanwhile, the defending champion carries -300 odds, so it’d cost $300 on Becky just to win $100 back if she wins.

Based on the odds, the expectation is that Becky will walk out still the champion. However, one has to wonder if things are lining up for Liv to capture the title at some point in the future. The two women battled it out on WWE Raw weeks ago in the main event match, and Liv nearly forced Becky to submit.

Other matchups on WWE’s New Year’s Day PPV card

The BetOnline WWE Day 1 match odds don’t seem to suggest any WWE titles will change hands at the pay-per-view. The biggest match on the card will feature Brock Lesnar in his return to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Currently, Brock is at +170 as the underdog, which is relatively inexpensive for this multi-time champion. Roman will be the favorite at -250.

The card also holds a Fatal Fourway match involving the WWE Heavyweight Championship. Reigning champion Big E (-165) captured the title after his Money in the Bank briefcase cash-in. He’ll defend against former champions Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, and Kevin Owens. Of those challengers, Seth is +250, while Lashley is +350, and Owens is the main underdog at +500 odds.

A few other matches are on this card. In a rivalry that’s heated up over the past month or so, the Rated-R Superstar Edge takes on The Miz. There are no titles on the line, only bragging rights. Edge is the favorite at -700, with Miz a +400 underdog. Most likely, fans will watch Edge find a way to crash Miz and Maryse’s special vow renewal ceremony on WWE Raw days before their match.

There’s also the WWE SmackDown Championship being contested. The Usos are -250 favorites, but New Day have also been multi-time tag team champs. At +170, many bettors might want to take a shot that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods claim those belts as part of their royal treasures.

Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss is also on the card, but we aren’t seeing odds listed for their match, as of this report. Check out BetOnline’s WWE page here for the latest.

The WWE Day 1 pay-per-view will take place on January 1, 2022, from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Fans can watch all the action live streaming via Peacock, beginning at 8/7c.
