Yankees vs Dodgers 2024 World Series: Schedule, Odds, Prediction
The 2024 World Series is scheduled to get underway this Friday, October 25, from Los Angeles, California when the Dodgers host the New York Yankees. To say these teams are stacked with MLB stars is an understatement of epic proportions!
The Yankees roster boasts future HOFers in Aaron Judge, Gerrit Cole, Giancarlo Stanton, and Juan Soto. The Dodgers are also stacked. When you have a lineup that includes Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman – not to mention Max Muncy, and Teoscar Hernández, let’s just say winning comes easier in LA than it does in other cities.

Stats are awesome, and they are important. However, you just can’t put your faith in stats alone.
For example, the Dodgers were much better at home (52-29) than on the road (46-35). The Yankees, on the other hand, are road warriors. The Bombers finished with the best road mark in MLB at 50-31.
Also, their stats through the postseason are almost identical as you can see below.
So with both teams so equally strong, what is the x-factor that will decide this year’s World Series champ? We believe that honor will go to one of the overlooked stars who is on a postseason roll – Giancarlo Stanton.
Everyone wants to talk about Betts, Judge, Ohtani, and Soto, and with good reason. However, Stanton is and always has been a flat-out beast. When he’s on, he can mash with anyone, and right now he is.
Stanton has been awesome so far in the postseason. His line of .294/.385/.794 includes five home runs – with four coming in the ALCS against Cleveland which led him to win the ALCS MVP Award.
Both teams are worthy of being champions this season, but we are leaning toward the Bronx.
Vegas experts have the Dodgers set as the favorites at -135, with the Yankees listed at +110. We’re riding the dog in this situation.
