MLB Schedule Release 2020: 60-Game Season Schedule Revealed For Each Team
Play Ball! Major League Baseball released the full 60-game season schedule for the 2020 campaign on Monday. The reveal took place live on MLB Network.
MLB Schedule breakdown
2020 hasn’t been a typical year. That we all know. COVID-19 has affected all of us, including the world of sports.
As for MLB’s return here is how the season will play out. Each team will play 40 divisional games. They will also play 20 interleague games versus teams within its region to limit travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
With everything going on nowadays, that makes perfect sense.
The usual 162-game marathon has been condensed to a 60-game sprint, and that means the term “anything can happen” is more relevant than ever!
Opening Night July 23
Opening Day will take place on Thursday, July 23 with just two games on the schedule.
The New York Yankees will face the defending World Champion Washington Nationals followed by the Giants facing the Dodgers.
On Friday, July 24 the full slate of games will arrive.
The Braves and Mets get the action going at 4:10 ET and the evening will come to a close with the Dodgers hosting the Giants at 9:40 p.m. ET.
When the pitchers and odds are updated, we will have it all right here!
