NBA Christmas Day 2020 Games: Vegas Odds, TV Schedule, & How to Watch
The holiday season is here and bringing sports fans plenty of treats on Christmas Day. Not only will there be an NFL matchup for football enthusiasts, but the NBA just recently started up their 2020-21 season. With that, NBA Christmas Day Games will happen in 2020, with a variety of featured matchups to enjoy. Fans will get to see Zion’s Pelicans, LeBron’s Lakers, and Luka’s Dallas Mavs amongst the games on the schedule.
NBA Christmas Day Games 2020: Zion, Jimmy, Steph, and Giannis featured early
Tipping off the action at 12 p.m. Noon Eastern Time on ESPN will be the Pelicans and Heat. Zion Williamson is back with the New Orleans Pelicans and ready to show his full capabilities after a short rookie campaign due to injury. For his second game of the season, the Pelicans take on Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat, a squad coming off a disappointing finals loss against LeBron’s Lakers. Will Miami match last season’s success or outdo it?
This game’s in Miami, and even though there aren’t fans like before, the latest odds favor the home team at 4.5 points for the spread. On the money line, the Heat are -190 favorites with the visiting Pelicans +170 underdogs. For over/under bettors, a 224.5 points is the latest game total to consider.
Following that matchup will be the Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks. Both teams were winless in their first attempts, with the Warriors getting crushed by Brooklyn, and Bucks suffering a one-point late loss to Boston.
Stephen Curry is back for Golden State and now has rookie James Wiseman in the paint. On the Bucks’ side, MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo will be hungry to get his team to the NBA Finals after a disappointing early exit at this year’s playoffs. One of the two teams will get their first win of the season, and most would probably agree this is the Bucks’ game to take.
These two teams tip-off on ABC starting at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. As far as odds go, Milwaukee is the strong favorite at their home area with a point spread of 10. The money line offers Golden State as +425 underdogs, while the Bucks are -550 favorites. A total of 232.5 points for the game is a consideration for over/under bettors.
Dynamic duo of KD & Kyrie battle Celtics
That’s not all folks. Three more games are on the schedule for the NBA Christmas Day games. The 1-0 Brooklyn Nets and 1-0 Boston Celtics meet up as Kyrie Irving returns to face his former team. It should be quite a battle as Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, and the Celts try to thwart the new dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie.
Based on their throttling of Golden State on Opening Night, the Nets (-145) are three-point favorites on the road for this one. Underdog bettors can consider a +125 moneyline for Boston, while the over/under total is currently at 228.5 points for the game. Game time is 5 p.m. ET on ABC.
Lebron vs. Luka, Clippers vs. Nuggets complete day’s NBA gifts
LeBron James tweaked his ankle on NBA Opening Night. However, the King is expected to play in the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks matchup. A potential early MVP winner prediction goes to the two stars in this game, as Luka Doncic is also one to watch along with LeBron. This one could be fun and arrives for primetime at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on ABC and ESPN for television viewers.
Both teams are winless, with the home team, the Lakers, favored at six points on the spread or at -250 money line. The Mavs are +210 underdogs, with the points total sitting at 227.5 currently.

The grand finale for NBA’s Christmas Day schedule will feature the LA Clippers at Denver Nuggets. Last season, fans saw that Denver was becoming a solid team with some potential future stars emerging on the roster. Among them will be Michael Porter Jr. and Bol Bol, who are part of a talented lineup already featuring Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.
This game closes things out at 10 p.m. ET with coverage via ESPN. All of the above games should be available for viewers with access to the WatchESPN or other ESPN apps for live streaming. All that’s required is a valid cable/satellite login.
By the way, Bernard King has a record in terms of most points scored on Christmas Day with 60. Could KD, Steph Curry, or LeBron break that all-time record?
