NBA Draft 2020 Results: Team Order, Picks, and How to Watch on TV or Online
It feels like not long ago the Los Angeles Lakers captured the NBA Championship after a season shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s because the 2019-20 NBA season officially wrapped up later than usual, ending in October at the Orlando bubble site with the NBA Finals. Attention now shifts to the next season as teams are already making moves and looking to get future talent through the NBA Draft 2020.
NBA Draft 2020 results: Team order & picks
The top talents coming into this year’s NBA Draft will include shooting guard Anthony Edwards, big man James Wiseman, point guard Lamelo Ball, and power forward Obi Toppin. The top four picks are held by the Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, and Chicago Bulls. However, there’s always room for some deals to go down.
One of the big stories has involved the Houston Rockets, with both James Harden and Russell Westbrook potentially on the move. Harden appears to want to head to Brooklyn to team up with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Westbrook is being eyed by Michael Jordan for the Charlotte Hornets. Things could get interesting on Draft day and night.
Also, while Zion Williamson was a lock for the top pick in 2019, Vegas Insider reported it’s not clear-cut as far as who will go No. 1 this year. There’s a prop bet which lists both Edwards and Ball as -110 favorites to become first pick, with James Wiseman at +600. The rest of the field is +10000.
By the way, it may not matter who goes where or when in terms of which team might get a star. Keep in mind, Zion went No. 1 but Rookie of the Year went to the No. 2 pick Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies. That said, we expect Ja and Zion will both be pretty darn good and there are likely some gems in this year’s class.

When and how to watch the draft
Typically, the NBA Draft goes down in June, as it has since 1975. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the NBA season was postponed and shifted things in terms of dates for 2020. It moved the playoffs and the draft, which will happen on November 18 this year.
There won’t be a traditional event for the NBA Draft 2020 either. Instead of it happening at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with fans and players like the past several years, it will be held in Connecticut. The ESPN Studios in Bristol, Connecticut will serve as the host site.
Coverage of the NBA Draft will begin as early as 7 p.m. Eastern Time. The first round starts at 8 p.m. ET with the second round at 11 p.m. ET on ESPN networks. Fans can also watch it live streaming online through the WatchESPN website or compatible apps. These generally work with mobile devices (iOS, Android) as well as smart TVs and streaming devices (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast).
