New York Yankees 2021: Projected Starting Lineup, Odds to Win AL East, Pennant & World Series
The year is 2021, but the story-line in the Bronx hasn’t changed in decades. It’s World Series or bust for the New York Yankees.
With the lineup they boast, on paper at least, this team should win 100-games and be playing in the Fall Classic. But as all sports fans know, that is easier said than done.
New York Yankees Odds
Heading into spring training, the Yankees are the overwhelming favorites to represent the American League in the 2021 World Series.
The Yankees are currently listed at +600 to win the title this season. Those odds make the Bombers second overall as the preseason favorites. The only team listed ahead of them is the defending champion LA Dodgers.
When it comes to winning the AL East and the AL Pennant, the odds are even shorter for New York. Vegas Insider has New York at -175 to win the AL East division. That makes them a tough team to wager on.
At -175, meaning you have to wager $175 to win $100, that risk may not be worth taking over the long haul of the season. The more valued risk is taking the +600 to win the World Series.
For that wager, every $100 would win you $600 if the Bombers win the Fall Classic.
One other long term prop wager is the AL Pennant. Those odds for New York are set at +300. Just like the World Series odds, wagering on the Pennant gives you much more value for your risk than putting money on winning the AL East.
Starting Lineup
For better or worse, here is what we believe the 2021 Yankees starting lineup will look like. While it resembles last season, here is one thing to keep in mind. If the Corey Kluber signing is even HALF as successful as the DJ LeMahieu deal, the Yankees should have a very successful season.
- DJ LeMahieu 2B
- Aaron Judge OF
- Aaron Hicks OF
- Giancarlo Stanton DH
- Luke Voit 1B
- Gleyber Torres SS
- Clint Frazier OF
- Giovanny Urshela 3B
- Gary Sanchez C
