NFL Draft 1st Overall Pick Odds 2022 Revealed By MGM Grand Sportsbook
Which player will be selected No. 1 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft this spring? Unlike last season, when the entire world knew that the Jacksonville Jaguars would select QB Trevor Lawrence, this season is a toss-up.
NFL Draft odds much tighter in 2022
There was no mystery last season when the first pick in the NFL Draft was announced. Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence knew he was going No. 1 to Jacksonville. Heck, we all knew he was!
According to the MGM Grand, Lawrence had -50000 odds to be drafted No. 1 overall. The second-best odds to get selected first overall was BYU QB Zach Wilson at +1600. That, my gambling friends, is a huge difference in odds.
This year’s NFL Draft is quite different, and it shows in the wagering odds set at sportsbooks like the MGM Grand.
BetMGM’s top four betting odds favorites for the No. 1 pick are Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson +155, Alabama’s Evan Neal +175, Oregon’s Kayvon Thibodeaux +325, and NC State’s Ikem Ekwonu +400. While Hutchinson is the favorite to have his name called first, it wouldn’t surprise many if any of those four were selected.
Complete list No. 1 pick odds
If you think someone else outside of those four standouts will be selected No. 1 overall then you had better run to the MGM ASAP!
The dropoff in odds from No. 4 to No. 5 is huge.
Following NC State’s Ikem Ekwonu at +400 is Liberty QB Malik Willis at +2000. After that, the money lines get even bigger.
