NFL Power Rankings Week 3: Lions, Giants Turning Heads; Bucs, Bills, Chiefs, Eagles Make Case For No. 1; Updated Super Bowl 2023 Odds
The Week 3 NFL Power Rankings and updated Super Bowl odds have arrived. Sure it is early on, however, a true PR listing should be just that – week to week. You can’t live off of last week, last month, or even last year. Our rankings are for the right here and right now – the way they should be. Let’s get to it!
Lions roar, G-Men start perfect, Bills AFC best?
Starting the season 1-1 after two games isn’t anything to celebrate really. However, for the Detroit Lions, it is. A team that is loaded with talent may be just 1-1, but the flashes they have shown lead us to believe that they will be contenders to win the NFC North.
The Lions have scored 30 or more points in three straight games for the first time since 1997. That includes games vs. Green Bay, Philadelphia, and Washington. QB Jared Goff has a nice running game with D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams to go along with many options at TE and WR, including rising star Amon-Ra St. Brown. Are the Lions the sleeper of the NFC? We think so.
Along with Detroit, the New York Giants are surprising many early on. After shocking Tennessee in Week 1, the G-Men improved to 2-0 on Sunday when they took down the Carolina Panthers. A healthy Saquon Barkley could be all the difference for this team compared to years past.
Finally, how about those Buffalo Bills? This squad looks like they are ready to take over in the AFC. With a strong offense behind Josh Allen and a defense that has been dominant in their first two wins against the defending champion Rams and Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo looks like they are ready to make a run at the Lombardi Trophy.
NFL Power Rankings, Super Bowl shift is on
The Bills, Dolphins, and Lions are getting some love here in September as some money is flowing in on all of these teams to win the big game. Some teams going the wrong way as possible contenders after two games include the Cowboys, Titans, and Raiders.
