NFL Schedule, Odds, Best Bets For Week 13: Brady, Bucs Stay Hot; WFT, Dolphins Continue Playoff Push
Week 13 of the 2021 NFL schedule will get underway this evening from New Orleans as the Saints are scheduled to host the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. With both teams struggling as they head into this contest, it is safe to say that this is a must-win game for both sides.
Week 13 must-win scenario for many squads?
Just three weeks ago many Saints and Cowboys fans had this TNF matchup circled on their calendar. Both were playing at a high level and looking like they had a shot at heading into the postseason as the possible No.1 seed in the NFC.
However, after a bad stretch of football for both sides, that may no longer be the case. Since starting the season 5-2 the Saints have dropped 4 in a row and have suffered many injuries to key players during their current skid. The once invincible-looking Dallas Cowboys, who looked like they would cruise into an NFC East title, enter this game on a 2-game losing streak and their 4-game lead in the division is down to just two.
And don’t look now Dallas fans, but the hottest team in the NFC may just be Washington. The WFT has won three consecutive games and looked impressive in doing so. One more thing to keep in mind – Washington and Dallas will play twice before the season ends.
Another team that seems to be turning their season around after a slow start is San Francisco. The Niners, like Washington, will be shooting for their fourth straight win this weekend. Both teams had a great month of November and are now in the thick of the NFC Wild Card race.
With 10 different teams in both conferences all within one or two games of each other in the playoff race, every week from here on out is a must-win situation.
Just take a look at the AFC West. The Chiefs are on top at 7-4. However, all three teams behind them, Denver, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas are all 6-5. That’s very rare for every team to be over .500 this late in the season.
