NFL Week 2 Schedule 2020: Odds, Best Bets, TV Start Times & How to Watch Live
Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season schedule will get underway tonight when the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Cleveland Browns.
Burrow, Mayfield take center stage in Thursday Night Week 2 NFL Schedule action
Bengals QB Joe Burrow grew up cheering for the Cleveland Browns. On Thursday he will try to defeat them.
The 2020 No. 1 overall draft pick and reigning Heisman Trophy winner will make his first road start when the Bengals take on the Browns Thursday evening. With both teams losing in Week 1, this “Battle of Ohio” is already a must-win in many ways for both clubs – especially for the Browns.
Cleveland lost in Week 1 to the Baltimore Ravens. A loss to Cincy this week would not only put the Browns at 0-2 on the season but also 0-2 in division play.
It will also have the Browns faithful questioning if Baker Mayfield is the real answer.
On the other hand, Burrow looked pretty darn good for a rookie making his debut last week against the Chargers. The former LSU star threw for 193 yards, completing 23 of his 36 passes.
Must Win Week 2 for many NFL teams?
Let’s not push the panic button quite yet, but is Week 2 a must-win for several teams? Yes and no.
Two favorites in the NFC, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys are both in danger of falling to 0-2. The same can be said for the 49ers and Eagles who also tasted defeat as big favorites in Week 1.
The only cure to a Week 1 defeat is a win in Week 2, plain and simple. For many teams like the Browns, Lions, Vikings, Giants, and several others, a strong bounce-back – even if they do not win the game – is almost mandatory.
