It’s two for Tuesday time once again! With the July 4th holiday less than a week away, many fans are already getting revved up for the upcoming preseason NFL season. Yes, it is hard to believe, but the return of NFL action is just about a month away. While we love the NFL, we are more focused on today, and making some MLB money!

Marlins vs Phillies

This is an interesting line. The Marlins are listed as a road favorite. Why? Because they have lefty Trevor Rogers on the hill. Rogers has been a pleasant surprise this season for the Fish. He has compiled a 7-4 mark and his 2.08 ERA is one of the best in MLB. On the other side, the Phillies are still underachieving.

A top-10 World Series favorite, the Phillies are treading water in the NL East, sitting in fourth place, four games under .500. Philly will counter Rogers with righty Vince Velasquez. Velasquez has struggled a bit here in 2021 but nevertheless, we like the Phillies as a sight dog at home.

Nothing is a sure thing in sports gambling. If it was the Astros wouldn’t have lost on Monday to the Orioles. Houston was a HUGE -365 favorite. In fact, even the run-line was -2.5 instead of the usual -1.5. In the end Baltimore pulled off the upset. Like we always say, that’s why the game is played on the field and not on paper. Houston is big favorite again today, however, this time they will get the job done!
