Fernando Tatis Jr. is MLB The Show 21 Cover Athlete, Early Padres World Series Odds
On Monday, San Diego Studios revealed Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. as MLB The Show 21 cover athlete. The young baseball phenom is just 22 years old and already taking the sports world by storm. Now he’ll appear on the cover of the biggest baseball video game around. The big announcement arrives as his team is amongst World Series odds leaders and his rookie cards are considered hot commodities.

With just two seasons under his belt, Tatis is the talk of the town. Along with other young stars including Ronald Acuna and Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr. is considered a potential superstar in the making. It’s still early in his career, and hopefully, there’s no sports game cover curse as he is on MLB The Show 21.
Last season, Tatis participated in 224 plate appearances. He racked up 62 hits, 17 home runs, 45 RBI, 11 stolen bases and a .277 batting average. Now he’ll look to build on his young career which already features a Silver Slugger Award and will probably bring a few more along with other accolades before he’s done.
The game is officially set to arrive on April 20, 2021, for the Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox consoles. Yes, that’s right. The game will be on Microsoft Xbox for the first time in 2021. It also will be available on current and next-generation video game consoles. So PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Latest World Series odds for 2021 season
With Fernando Tatis Jr. likely to get lots of attention in the upcoming season, it’s time to check in on the latest 2021 World Series odds. In the race for National League pennant, the Padres (+400) find themselves just behind the Dodgers (+200). Over in the AL, the Yankees are +250 favorites followed by the White Sox at +400.
