Super Bowl MVP Odds 2022: Matt Stafford, Joe Burrow Favored, But These Six Players Are Worth The Risk

The Super Bowl MVP odds have been released and to no one’s surprise, the two quarterbacks are leading the way. While it wouldn’t surprise many NFL fans if LA’s Matt Stafford or Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow walked away with the award, we are going to look outside the box a bit.

Which players could “steal the show” so to speak on Super Sunday? We have narrowed it down to six outside of the quarterbacks. Here they are.

Super Bowl MVP – Bengals

Outside of Joe Cool, here are three Bengals that could walk away with the MVP.

WR Ja’Marr Chase (22/1) Just like Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase is playing beyond his years. The former LSU star has helped ignite Cincinnati’s offense in a big way. He is no longer a rookie. If the Bengals win the Super Bowl, Chase will likely be a big reason why.

RB Joe Mixon (40/1) All the talk is on how the Rams will pressure Joe Burrow more than anyone has all season. If that is true, the Bengals will need running back Joe Mixon to play a big part on offense. And at 40/1, why not take a chance?

WR Tee Higgins (40/1) Another longshot we love. Higgins may get overlooked a bit playing alongside Chase, but this kid is the real deal. He posted 103 yards receiving in the AFC title game against the Chiefs. A solid sleeper pick here.

Rams MVP could surprise

Matt Stafford aside, the picks here are also nice in the payout department – and they aren’t all on the offensive side of the ball.

WR Cooper Kupp (6.5/1) Okay, this isn’t a big surprise. Just like Chase, if LA wins, Kupp will most likely play a huge part. 5/1 odds are nice if you are betting on a horse. These odds seem a bit short, but still, $100 to get $500 is never a bad deal.

LB Von Miller (50/1) Von Miller was with the Denver Broncos when they beat the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 and he played a huge part in Denver’s victory. In fact, his six tackles and 2.5 sacks of Cam Newton helped him win the MVP award. Can he do it again?

DE, DT Arron Donald (17/1) If not Miller, then Aaron Donald, right? Donald has been a fixture for the Rams his entire career. Donald had another banner year once again in 2021 recording 12.5 sacks. If Donald can get a few sacks and make a play or two in a tight game he may be winning a Super Bowl ring and an MVP award. Never say never in La La Land.
