Super Bowl Squares 2021: Printable Bracket For Buccaneers vs. Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are heading to Super Bowl 55. While this season many fans won’t be celebrating with big gatherings due to COVID-19, one thing that remains the same is the annual Super Bowl Squares.
Super Bowl Squares still a popular choice
We tend to forget that there actually is a football game to watch on Super Bowl Sunday! Dubbed America’s unofficial holiday, Super Bowl Sunday is known for lots of food, drinks, and of course wagering on the game.
With sports gambling becoming legal in many states, action on the game will be at an all-time high. However, one old favorite for many folks that want to risk a few bucks on the game is the Super Bowl squares.
If you have never played the squares, where have you been?
The popular 10×10 grid is still high in demand at the big game. The squares give fans and non-fans alike something to cheer for all game long.
How the squares work
If you never have played the SB Squares, here is a basic way the game is played. You can always modify it to make it more interesting and fun.
Start with an empty 10×10 grid. This will give you 100 Squares that players can select from. Post one team across the top and one across the side, as seen below.
Next find your players! Get your family, friends, coworkers to select as many squares as they like. Most people charge $1-5 a square.
Once you have the grid filled up it is time to select numbers. The numerals 0-9 are placed in a random order across the top of the sheet and along the side for each team. Now each square represents a specific score in the game based on the column and row numbers.
So let’s say you have 3 on top for Kansas City and 7 across for Tampa Bay. If at the end of any quarter the Bucs have 7, or any number that ends in 7, like 17, and KC has 3, or 13, 23, etc, you are the winner!
While some folks use the end of each quarter of play to pick a winner, others pick a winning square for each score in the game. Remember, you can modify the rules to your liking.
