Christmas Day is almost upon us! This is always a bittersweet time of the year for NFL fans. On one hand, if your team is in the playoff hunt, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! On the other hand, the realization that the regular season is coming to a close is hard to believe. Nevertheless, for college and pro pigskin fans, the next two weeks or so of wall-to-wall football is always an epic event.
Now, let’s make sure we pick more winners than losers heading into the new year!
Must win games all around the NFL
Week 16 will kickoff tonight with the Titans hosting the 49ers. Both of these teams are in need of a win to keep their postseason dreams alive.
Tennessee currently holds the No. 3 spot in the AFC, however, they will need to win at least 2 of the final 3 games to assure a playoff berth. The same can be said for the Niners.
At 8-6, San Francisco currently holds the No. 6 seed in the NFC and can not afford to slip up down the stretch. After a slow start, the Niners have played great over the past month to put themselves back in the postseason chase. The problem is that slow start to the season has San Francisco almost in a “win or else” mode down from here on out.
With Minnesota, Philadelphia, and New Orleans all sitting at 7-7, it is going to be a sprint to the finish in the NFC Wild Card race.
